CORK-BASED FINISHES: WHERE DESIGN MEETS THERMAL COMFORT

The cork finish: the aesthetics of matter, the value of comfort

Decork Mediterraneo is a finish that turns matter into an advanced design tool for architects and interior designers. The formulation combines the flexibility of cork granules with the mineral solidity of clay, going beyond the concept of paint to create three-dimensional, vibrant surfaces able to absorb and refract light in warm, deep tones. It is a stylistic solution conceived for maximum visual continuity: its high-adhesion formulation allows walls, ceilings and floors to be covered, indoors and outdoors, eliminating joints and generating monolithic volumes with strong contemporary impact. The colour chart, inspired by the tones and earths of Mediterranean landscapes, combined with different application techniques, allows a high level of bespoke customisation, with textures ranging from a pronounced material effect to softer, velvety finishes.

Beyond its aesthetic value, clay acts as a hygrometric regulator, while the elasticity and thermal insulation of cork ensure high vapour permeability, preventing crazing and cracking. In this way Decork Mediterraneo combines aesthetics, expressive flexibility and technical durability in a single architectural skin.

Nature and Health

Cork prevents mould and condensation by regulating natural humidity. Zero VOC emissions for healthy interiors and walls that breathe.

Elasticity and Durability

Highly elastic (up to 195%), it prevents and bridges micro-cracks. Resists weather and UV rays without cracking over time.

Aesthetics and Versatility

Endless finishes (from smooth to textured) for walls, floors and façades. The perfect balance between modern design and technical performance.
